Investigate potential faulty circuit of lights

We purchased a house a year ago which had recently been renovated and we've had issues with the same set of lights blowing and tripping the fuse. We've tried fitting different types of bulbs and despite working for a bit longer, the same problem occurs. This time, when one of the lights blew it appears to have affected the entire circuit as 4 rooms including the garage no longer have working lights. Changing the bulbs and resetting the fuse no longer works and so we now suspect that it could be the wiring. Strangely the lights worked for about 30 minutes and then stopped again. We need to investigate why this keeps happening.
