Outdated wiring and smoking outlets
Job description
I have need of some repairs and a general overview of the state of my electrics at home. I have one wall outlet in what was my office that started smoking and then sent out a small flame. A number of the wall outlets have just given up the ghost and are no longer working. One 'fuse' keeps popping the overload switch if I plug in two things and use them, e.g. kettle and washing machine, or any small appliance and another. This is in the kitchen/laundry area. Basically, I have few points that work or I feel are safe. About two years ago someone came in to quote on updating the wiring and getting rid of the ugly big old board etc. and it's taken til now to recover from the cost. He said I have a mix of recent(ish) electrics at the board, and ancient, fire hazard stuff. As I said, I work from home and can be relatively flexible on time. I won't mark this urgent because I have been putting up with this forever. Cheers. P.S. I don't have a budget, I have an empty credit card, but clearly want this to be as reasonable as can be. I will mark the budget lower, but can accommodate more if needed.

Very happy; great communication, very personable tradesman with a professional and skilled approach. I've already recommended them to friends for work, so am hoping more work will go their way. Dean has already provided us with a quote for ongoing work needing to be done. We are very happy with the quote and will definitly give Dean the work when carried out next month.
