Job description

Telecoms & Networking
Auckland

8yo house with 8-wire UTP providing copper phone jacks that are no longer required. Current layout is star, converging in garage. Wiring looks to be solid-core Cat5e based on "ETL/3P" printed on it. See photo 2. Would it be feasible to convert this to be used for generic ethernet networking? - 3x PDL 600-series modular BT outlets in combo faceplates to be converted to RJ45 modules (lounge, guest bedroom, master bedroom). Photos 3+4 show guest and master 2-way existing outlets. - Note that lounge outlet is 3-way, internal space may be limited? See last photo. - 1x PDL 600-series faceplate to be replaced (kitchen, fixed-type/non-modular faceplate) - see photos 5+6. - Install a 4-way plate in garage with 4x rj45 outlets or similar, beside/above/in/on "comms" cabinet thing (photo 1) - Punch down all outlets and test - Co-ax TV services in combo outlets would need to be retained No specific timeframe required.
