Installing and replacing multiple downlights
Job description
Hi there, We have just purchased a house at 68 Vale St, St Heliers in Auckland. This is a 1950s home, with a range of lighting and some old downlights. We would like to replace all downlights with new ones and install some where there aren't any - they have central lights with spotlights pointed in different areas (see photos attached). There are 4 bedrooms, 2 lounges, hallway, kitchen, rumpus room. There are many many lights! We need some guidance on where to start and how to approach this. We are selling our home, and will have a few weeks in between the settlement dates, where the new house is empty and think this would be the perfect time to do this. Can you please advise how long you think this would take, and an approximate cost? We are hoping to also get the painters in to repaint the entire interior including ceilings, so hopefully could get this done fairly quickly in a week or so if possible? Timing to start is first week of May 2022. Look forward to hearing from you. Note - we are also wanting help to look at the number of electrical outlets, and see if we need more, so may include installation of those also. Some other light switches may need replacing to modernise, as the house has a random mix currently and we'd like to standardise them all. So this may be a pretty decent job!
