Hi, please help with price to replace existing aluminium sliding door with new (double glazed and thermally broken frame) as per attached sketch. Existing is anodized Mid Bronze, I would much prefer the same as there are two identical doors on the same side of the house but the intention is to replace only one. I can arrange separately for builder to complete scribbers and trim along with re-stretching the carpet but you need to include all flashings and proper watertight installation. The existing door is not leaking at all. The reason to replace is better thermal insulation. If you are willing to investigate retro-fitting double glazing onto existing frames then I am definitely open to this as a compromise solution. I do not have any special requirements for the new glass (tint / film) apart from whatever is required by the current standards (thickness, quality, safety or not). No key lock needed, but it has to lock from inside. The installation is in Glen Eden. I can upload photos if needed. Many thanks in advance. Chris.
