Replace shed door attachment post

The post, which our gate shed door is attached to, is cracked and needs replacing. The shed door itself is fine, but am prevented from opening it because the attached post is splitting. See pictures. Needs fixing as soon as possible - would very much appreciate this being done within one or two weeks..
