Custom fit door

We are hoping to use our upstairs space as an Airbnb but will need some separation between floors. We are looking to fit a door at the top of the stairway where there hasn't been one previously. I understand the space is slightly narrower than that of a normal door frame and of course much taller. If possible above the door it would be great to fit a window to still allow light through.
