Cut hole in internal wall, install internal pocket door, block up old external door. We are happy to do internal gib, plaster etc. where needed. Our Laundry backs onto our Kitchen. Our Laundry only has an external door. so we have to go exit our kitchen to our porch, then enter the Laundry from the porch. There is space for a new door from the Kitchen to the Laundry. We would like a pocket door / cavity slider to be installed. The pocket part of it would sit in the space that the current door takes now. I presume no building consent would be required for this? Blocking one external door and installing one new internal door? No walls are being moved. I would like your advice on this. I would like you to do all the building work, including external cladding of the old door, but do not require you to get the job to a finished state. I am happy tidying up internal gib plastering, painting, skirting etc. Edit - I have added some truly terrible photos... :)
