Fix Bedroom Door

Hi, I have a jammed bedroom door. The handle mechanism appears to be broken and I can't open the door. I actually took one of the door handles off but was still unable to get it working. Therefore I need someone to take a look and repair it. I can't show you any images of the door because my mobile phone is in the room that can't be accessed - you can only contact me via email. I live 45 minutes north of Kerikeri at Te Ngaere Bay. Thank you.
