Our toilet door has never locked well - we thought it was the thread on the lock, but after quakes and the like I had a good look at the door handle and it looks like the problem was that the latch isn't aligned with the striker plate by 3mm or so and so it has never really been closed at all. And I have gone and lost the striker plate for the handle!I am not sure if this is a simple fix by realigning the striker plate on the frame or if it needs a more tricky fix.
