Wooden door fix

I have French doors but the top and bottom metal latches (flush bolts? See pic below) are needing attention. The top one has fallen out of its groove and the bottom one is stiff and we can’t move it. It also may need a little planing on one side of the door as it’s been painted and now sticks a little in cold weather.
