Extend the entrance

The door shown in the photos is for the hot water cylinder (Dia 540mm). The cylinder is leaking, so need to be replaced. However the entrance (510mm) is smaller than the cylinder. The frame is not a real door frame. It just like timber boards were nailed on the wall to surround the entrance. I wish someone can take off the top, bottom and right side boards, cut a strip of wall (Gib board I think) to extend the size of the entrance. rebuild the entrance, then nail back the right side board and longer top and bottom boards.
