Blind shutters not opening

Venting Skylight blind not able to go up or down

I have a few Velux blinds in my home and one is motorised. The blind recently got stuck in the down position. The remote is connected, but the blind is stuck. Velux cannot assist, as they just support the windows themselves. But they suggested that most commonly, the DC motor is the component that fails as the brushes wear out over time. Looking for someone who can help. Thanks!
