Re-installing existing curtain rail

Hi, We live in Kelson and I need someone who know exactly what they are doing to help me reinstall an existing curtain rail in my son's bedroom. The screw always comes off after a few months, it just doesn't hold properly into the wall. We tried to move it but the drill got stuck, unable to drill, I assumed we might hit a metal inside the wall hence the drill wont go further. I don't need new rail and would like to use the existing one but installed permanently, with a good quality of finishing. Would like someone who could do it sooner than later please. Thank you.
