During summer, we use aircon in one of the rooms on this floor, which opens into a small hallway connected to 3 other rooms (including a bathroom). The hallway leads downstairs. The idea is that if we can partition the hallway, we can then leave the room's door open and transfer the cool air to one of the other rooms too (the remaining rooms will have their doors closed). As shown in the photo, it's a relatively narrow hallway that's about 2.5m tall and 0.9m wide. Ideally, the partition would be right before the light switch, the fire alarm and the last door on the right. While the solution doesn't need to be airtight, since it's meant to trap cool air I was thinking along the lines of a heavy curtain, or even installing a wall & door. Flexible with whichever solution works best, provided my budget allows.

Edwin was able to identify a great solution and get the work done at a very competitive budget. I will definitely be looking forward to him helping out with some other projects down the track. Highly recommended.
