Hanging 3 curtain rails in one room

Two small curtain rails, and one longer curtain rail need to be attached. However, the walls are Gibb, and it is difficult to get a firm attachment. I have tried in other rooms and ended up with plastering and repainting as the gibb came away. It can be done, but needs an expert.
