We have a 1964 weatherboard/stucco house with the following foundations: concrete corners, and concrete piles supporting wooden bearers. Current foundations are believed to be from 1978. The floor is 900mm off the ground and there is free access under the house. The soil is a sandy-loam. The house is single-story with an area of approx 121 sq m (16.6 m x 7.3 m). Issue: The floorboards are not level in the house, indicating potential issues with the foundations. Some of the bearers are sitting on or half-off the edge of the concrete piles. We are looking at renovating the property and therefore require level floors prior to starting the renovation work.
