Job description

General Concreting
New Plymouth

The area is not accessible by vehicle. It is around the back of the house (flat ground, so wheel burrow is no problem). The area inside the timber is 2590 x 1390 x average around 115 deep for the dirt section, 30mm deep on the concrete (170mm width, making up part of the 1390 width). Total area is around 0.4 cube, plus half of the box is off the ground, so perhaps a touch more to fill the empty space under the box. Would be minimal. I’m happy for you to supply half a cube worth of materials at my cost and leave them behind, as I’ll use it for the odd job. The box is to remain where it is (it will be what I screw the shed into), so the shed instructions have recommended putting large nails through the box, facing inwards, to hold it to the concrete. I haven’t done this yet, but will do. I have not done any base layer. The ground is clay, and I don’t think I care enough since it’s a garden shed. I have some polythene that I would like laid under the concrete, per the instructions, but I haven’t laid it yet, as it would create a swimming pool, and i don’t know the correct method. I believe part of the concreting process is to give it another once over with a trowel a couple of hours later to give it a good finish. Obviously not worth having somebody hang around for that, for something that size, so I’m happy to do that myself (I have a steel trowel) and just accept the outcome.

Did a concrete pad for my garden shed. Was able to complete the job just three days after I posted it. The quality of the work was incredible considering the low cost. I’ve saved the contact details and will certainly be in touch next time I have any jobs to do around the house.
