I need some concrete removed from my property that will enable me to connect a section of grass with a plant area (bed). I will eventually lay grass where the bed is, but I need the grass area and plant bed to a) connect and b) extend to the same width (to form the path’s edge). I need to know if the raised strip of concrete (between the grass and bed) can be removed, as it has a drain pipe going into it. I would love for this job to be done next week, but I don’t know what the wait time is like for these things so I can be flexible. Consideration: part of the concrete may have tree roots below from a neighbouring blossom tree. The concrete I would like removed looks like it was already an addition to the pre-existing path as is not connected, there is, instead, a thin crack between the part I want removed and the path that was there before. While this may seem helpful, the issue is that the path would then be a different width - with the grass section being slightly narrower than the concrete crack.
