We have a raised patio step that lies against the front of our house and allows for access to the front door and a couple of sets of double doors. It is under a metre high and was installed decades ago half way up the bottom weatherboard. This has led to thorough rotting of the weatherboards, so we'd like the patio step lowered to around 5/8cm below the weatherboard. The area is approximately 11 sqm - depending on cost however we may look to get the whole patio replaced which is brick and approx. 40 sqm. Some of the concrete and tiles were in poor condition so have been removed., and there is a post on one end connected to the deck above which I don't believe is load bearing as it's only marginally concreted into the patio. It's currently secure
