safer steps

have recently added a screen door at the back entrance.it has shortened the top step by about 4 inches. these are concrete steps. i have already had a fall. i want both steps deepened to prevent further falls! can email photos which will more easily describe the problem.the bottom sits next to shortened pavers which could easily be removed for bigger concrete lower step.
