Replace damaged retaining wall
Job description
We have an old, damaged retaining wall at the bottom of our property that needs to be replaced. It is less than 1.5m high, but is on the boundary of our property and the public walkway below us, so I'm not 100% sure if it can be done without a consent. The current wall is half concrete, half stone and I would like to keep some of the stone wall intact where the letterbox is (see photos). We can probably do some of the demo work of the current wall if that helps, just need to be careful because the water mains pipe sits directly behind it. There is no strict timeframe on this but as soon as possible would be good. I would like to start tidying up/planting the bottom of our garden in autumn and we can't really get started on this until the wall is done.

Dunedin City Contracting built us a beautiful new retaining wall. Access to our property is terrible and there were a few unexpected challenges during the excavation phase, but they did such a good job our neighbours ended up hiring them to build a matching wall!
