Lay New Concrete Drive & Path
Job description
Looking for a quote initially to compare the cost of doing it ourselves. Council requires us to lower the driveway and path surrounding our garage in order to complete conversion into a bedroom and ensuite. We have removed all the old concrete and now looking for quotes to re-lay paving up to the required height. Area is approx. 20sqm. Open to laying pavers or pouring concrete.

At time work was done we - using a tape measure - questioned whether clearance area between house cladding & driveway would meet council approval. Were told it would be okay. Failed final council inspection on this issue. 10 mths on, contractor has been slow to respond & has made poor/minimal effort to remedy the situation. Have spent $1000 on equipment & hours of our own time to fix it. No response to our request to replace or reimburse us for damaged cat door.

"That’s wasn’t our problem we measured off old cladding it was ok and now it’s new cladding fault so was 10 months ago was ok and why plaim me for this after and I offered to do a remedial and you guys in a hurry to do it yourself so cut that out"
