We are in the process of buying a house that was built in 2005 which is cladded with 70% onduline and 30% laminated ply and battens. The builders report has found beginnings of timber rot and twisting of battens, also no seal or paint on the plywood,in some places with the onduline the colour had leached out, and sheets have curled, lifting in places. We need a quote to repair damage and also needs to be quoted ASAP because of short settlement time frames, my best guess would be half the house reclad but it will need to be a different cladding due to onduline no longer being on the market. I am thinking the best look would be color steel but definitely would want recommendations. The size of the house is 225m2 and a one storey dwelling.
