Living Room carpet needs a stretch :)

After some renovation work, the wool carpet in our living room needs to be stretched and fastened back onto a tack strip. There is also a transition of flooring between the living room and kitchen which we'd need your opinion on what the best option would be. We are needing the work done within the next 2-3 weeks (able to start anytime, the house is vacant. ) Thinking that it would be a smallish job timewise to do?
