Install cables under carpet

I have two electric recliner sofas, and I want to somehow put the power extension cables from the wall outlet to the under each sofa under the carpet, in a way that looks neat, but which can also be undone almost invisibly if/when we move out. It's a modern nylon carpet. I'll supply the extension cables. See attached photo/sketch. I figure one cable down the wall, under the carpet and straight across to come up under the right sofa. Then a 2nd cable plugged into the end of the first cable, and option A) either straight from under the right sofa to the left sofa, or option B) perpendicular to the seam, along under the seam, the perpendicular to the seam to under the left sofa. Whatever you think is best.
