Carpet Repair-Stich in a replacement piece of carpet

We had an under house leak that damaged a section of carpet. We want to cut out the damaged piece and stich in a replacement piece. The section to be replaced is probably 1.5 to 2 square meters max, and is in a corner/side so two edges will be against the wall. We have spare carpet and don't think we need to replace underlay. This is a small job so would probably suit someone already working ion the area.
