Small repair on underside of house overhang

There is a corner on the underside of an overhang portion of our house where the board appears to be drooping over time. We would like this to be repaired by filling the gap and adding beading around the edges to prevent any further movement. Also happy to consider any other recommended solutions, but this is the advice we have had from an ex-builder on how the repair should be done. The attached photos show the part that is coming away, and also the beading that is present on most edges, but not where the damage is. Keen for this job to be done ASAP as we are not sure how much worse the damage can get over time. Please get in touch even if you have a backlog of work as we have been struggling to find any qualified builders with availability to pick up this job.
