The wooden balustrades around my upstairs balcony, and some of the upright wooden columns to which they are connected, and which hold up the balcony roof have some rot at the joints and need replacing and repainting. Double-storey home, so scaffolding will need to be used.

Gilmore Builders were great, but the sub-contractors (especially Allan Tong Painters) were disappointing, and appeared to have no quality control at all. As a customer I had to check their work for defects. Scafit scaffolders failed to remove their scaffolding when the job it was needed for was done and then tried to invoice me for unused time. Gilmore re-negotiated their invoice downward.
