Job description

Decking & Pergolas
Waitakere

Request for quotes to build a new low height deck with a 'L' shaped bench seat. The section slopes upwards away from the french doors - approx. 400mmH at house to approx. 200mmH at front edge of proposed new deck. For this reason we won't require a step. Attached are some photos of the existing structure and area for context of the space. On one photo, I have indicated with a green line where the deck will end just so there is a clear correlation with the 2D plan. We will demo the existing structure but I can leave the sub-structure such as posts to be assessed if they can be re-used or not. We will also move the tap. We've attached some inspiration images for how we'd like the border edging done where the vertical cladding is used to create a clean border. Also attached is a plan that indicates with an orange line the previously mentioned 'L' shaped bench seat. Supplied photo of bench seat is for reference. If costs allow, the posts for the seat would be Kwila. Ignore the turquoise border. A couple of things to note; - Material: 140 x 19mm Kwila, smooth finish. - Stainless steel screws - Build around the tree - Final depth (approx. 4m) to be determined using full width material. No ripping down the final piece to suit i.e. 28 planks @ 140mmW with 5mm gap = 4060mm excl. edge. We would be keen to get this underway soon as possible. Thank you for your time.

We're thrilled with our new deck and it has exceeded our expectations. They followed the brief and paid close attention to what we wanted, consulting us along the way to make sure we were happy with any decisions that we hadn't expected. The quality of workmanship is amazing and we love the details like the fact that there are no visible screws. Great communication & all on time, plus Cobus and Eddie were great to have around :)
