replace flaking -painted decking timbers

we have a raised verandah- deck off the back of our kitchen which at some point in its history was painted - looking for quotes to either strip the paint and sand/ stain the boards charcoal or replace with new decking. My thinking is to leave the spindles in place and repaint. estimated area of decking to restore 20m2
