Deck additional support

We have got a decent deck support by horizontal and vertical beam. When 20 of our friends decided to take bloody selfie on deck, the horizontal support immediately below the slats cracked a bit. It is still holding up, hasn't split into pieces. I need help putting in additional supporting timber so it doesn't crack next time 20 people stand on it and is stable. This needs to be done within the next few weeks, but there is no critical urgency as the deck is holding up on its own just fine. Will add photos later over weekend, I don't have any at the moment.
