Hi, We have a large deck at our home on Waiheke Island and are looking to restore its colour to its former glory as well as weather protect it.

Firstly, Johan is a nice guy and we were confident he'd do a good job. Unfortunately we have been thoroughly disappointed with how this small project, to restore our deck, has gone to the extent where we are going to complete it ourselves. Workmanship has been sloppy (we have to repaint the exterior walls to remove lots of stain marks and debris from sanding), communication poor, and reliability more so (not knowing whether they would turn up from one day to the next).

"Hi Steven, This is not on. We have contracted to you and we will stain your deck. Leave the deck alone. I did make it clear to you that getting to Waiheke is not easy going. Not allowing us to start before guest leave after 11. Electricity kept on tripping the main switch. Quoted last year and we had to drop our price considerably. You then tried to stain it yourself and gave as many hours extra work removing the stick deck oil from the deck. I should have applied 2 coats and left it as per spec"
