Job description

Handrails & Balustrading
North Shore

Our house is on poles and split over two levels (600mm difference). We recently had the flooring replaced, removed the original grey steel balustrade, and bought new glass balustrades (1x 1000mm and 2x 800mm) which need to be installed before Christmas. I’ve marked out where the spigots should go, then realised the bolts I need to use are longer than the floor is thick. The job is to add blocks underneath the floor under the house to attach the 6x spigots and then install the glass. Photos show the original lobby, how it looks now, the spigot/balustrade style, and the markings for where the spigots will go.

Really pleased with Mika's work. We had so much to do before Christmas, so it was fantastic to have Mika help with installing this glass balustrade. We'd particularly like to call out how Mika noticed the balustrade top-mounted rail was missing padding to keep it in place and stop it rattling, so he made some and resolved it. We will definitely be using Mika again in future.
