I gave Rob the job after being introduced from Builders Crack. He gave me a quote to do a certain amount of work which I accepted. At the last minute he did some extra work for me which was not quoted and when he invoiced me I paid him what he asked. Although he spent some time getting several quotes for me (which I appreciated) in the hope he would get on-going work, when the work was done over a span of 4 weeks (should have been done in a day), I had to get him back to correct things. After visiting the second time, he still had not followed instructions by not puttying the screw holes. He had done about 20% of them, but they were messy. As the job became smaller on the actual day as less was required to be done, I asked Rob to modify the invoice as clearly the work required was about 75% of what was initially quoted for. He refused to amend the bill. So, I paid him $400 as I believe this was more than fair for the reduced work and the shoddy workmanship. I received an email this morning from him: "You are worthless and you'll never do well by being a dick." After having to wait for a month, getting him back to do the job properly 3 times and having to get someone else to finish his job, then paying him immediately on receiving the invoice (for the work that WAS done) that is the response I get. I do not recommend using this builder.

"This guy was manipulative and at no time did he ever intend to pay the correct amount. Changed his mind many times and mucked me around. we agreed to an hourly rate before I came to do the work and the job changed so many times I didn't know what he wanted then he only paid a fraction of the bill so I was fairly ticked off. Bad Client, I would avoid any dealings with him."
