Just purchased property. The deck was never permitted when built and is basically condemned as far as the flooring boards go, however there may be salvageable supports/framing that we'd like to utilise where possible. The deck is 1.9m off the ground and needs to remain at this level due to sliding door access from the house i.e. this is required as a fire exit. There are external stairs off the deck that also need replaced. We have glass balustrades (size to come) that we'd also like to use. We would like the privacy screen to remain. Under the deck (fence side) will be used for firewood storage. Under the main part of deck has been dug deeper since foundations laid, so will need to be rectified. Ideally we'd like to use this area as a garden shed. We would also like to discuss changing the stairs direction to go straight towards back of section and hopefully giving us a larger floor/deck space. We'd also like a separate quote for boxed seating along one side that could be utilised for storage. We are open to other ideas. We are also happy to help with any labour to reduce costs where possible. We also require the work done as soon as possible due to mortgage commitment.
