floor repair - timber floorboards internal
Job description
Situation: My elderly mother lives in a little unit in Grove Street St Kilda and her bedroom floor has a slump in it under the carpet in one little localised location. I suspect the floorboard(s) in this area have rotted out and given way. The floor is carpeted. It currently sinks in when stood on and creates a trip/fall hazard. I need someone to call around, pull back the carpet from the wall (making sure not to damage it), assess the level of floorboard repair necessary (perhaps take a photo or two to help in communicating/explaining the repair cost), fold back the carpet temporarily against the floor until after the repair work is completed (separately I would have a carpet company come back and secure the carpet in place correctly after the job is complete) and send me a quotation for the repair work. If this is something your able to do, please let me know, thank you.
