Large new deck & steps to garden / small new deck to front door
Job description
We are preparing our house for sale and want to build a deck over the top of an older concrete patio at the back of the house. Design: Our plan is to have a small area at the same level as the lounge door, then a step down to the main level of the deck. The main area will have a railing. Straight steps lead down to the garden, an angled set of steps lead to the driveway, and a third set of steps lead down to meet the existing concrete steps from the back door. We also want to build a small deck/steps at the front door. This would replace the existing red verandah and come out over the existing concrete steps. Timeframe: Ideally we would like the work to start asap and be completed by mid-Feb. We it's a long shot to find someone who's available (and the materials), but that's why we're posting it here! Maybe you've had a slot open up at short notice and can help us out. Site considerations: There is sealed driveway access down to the patio area. The house is currently vacant so the site is yours. We would take the concrete tiles off the patio beforehand, leaving the concrete ring/fill underneath. (The main level of the deck would be above this and come out further, so shouldn't need to be removed.)
