Job description

Decking Restoration & Repair
Christchurch

We need a couple of smaller jobs done ideally in the next week. JOB 1: Deck re-instatement The first job is to re-instate the end of our deck which is about 50mm gap between the end of the deck and the house (see photo). It was sawn off to provide access to the foundations. We have all the decking timber but some extra timber will be required to make it serviceable but it was originally fixed to the weatherboards. NOTE: as can best seen from the photo of the plank in place (demo only) it is quite a tight fit so I think the ends may need trimming off each plank. JOB 2: Timber window frames fitting. We have two secondhand timber windows that we got to replacing rotting frames in our older house (see pics). They are the same width but 5mm shorter so potentially a sliver of timber may want to be attached to the bottom or top. The hinges etc should be able to be kept from the original windows. There is a potential third job to fix a small window (upper) frame which has started to move and cracked the pane. I haven't got a photo of this but will try to attach it tomorrow.
