Loft bed with storage underneath

I want 1. a loft bed (Queen size) with storage underneath, and 2. bookshelves. I really want to be confident the loft bed is earthquake-safe. I'm not sure which room to put the loft bed in or what the options are for access. I need help with ideas about how all this can be configured. I have a small cottage - 50 sq m, one room wide - I've been looking at overseas web sites for ideas about maximising space in small houses.
