Small free standing outdoor bench/cabinet
Job description
1m long x 60 cm deep x 90 cm high timber bench with shelves/cabinet doors below and, if possible, a folding bit of additional bench length (see rough sketch). Will be used to hold a small benchtop gas BBQ on our outdoor patio, with space below for gas bottle and storage. Looking for something simple, sturdy and able to survive being outside - more upcycled chic than flash. If it's useful, we have two sturdy pallets that could be broken down and used. The back wall of the space where the bench will go has pipes and an outlet that need to remain accessible (see photo), so the legs and back of the unit will need to accomodate the space. The patio floor is graded for drainage, so the legs of the unit will probably need to be adjusted on site to keep the bench surface level. The patio is up the stairs on the second floor of the flat, so it may be easier for you to assemble the final bench on site rather than try to navigate it through the building and up the stairs. This is a birthday gift for my partner, so am ideally looking for someone able to assemble or deliver the bench during the day (8 am - 5 pm) on 18 January while he is at work.

Bob did a fantastic job - super timely communication, brilliant flexibility with my tight timeline to finish the project as a birthday surprise, receptive to making my vision fit my limited budget, and superb craftsmanship. Highly recommend, would definitely hire again for future projects.
