Vanity unit as illustrated on the sketch - Top is essentially an upturned 'u' shape, out of ply, well lacquered to cope with bathroom environment. I'm thinking quite a thick ply, say, 30mm. I've indicated 450mm deep top but that may increase to 500mm once the basin is sourced - Ply to be veneered with light timber, birch, beech, maple or similar - Top will be cut to accept wash hand basin - Drawer slides into the 'u' with partly exposed sides as shown by elevation 'Y' on the sketch - Front of drawer to be thin, about 5mm, not worried about the material - Drawer to be lacquered white (front, sides and inside) - Slot will need to be cut in drawer base to cater for basin waste (& therefore back of drawer) - not too concerned if the right hand side part of the drawer is not usable or if it has no base or only part. - Drawer will not need handle as it can be pulled open from beneath - Will require two cantilever brackets - thinking square steel tube with offset plate fixed to wall
