Install two Cupboard/wardrobe doors

Job image

Job description

New Cupboard Doors
Palmerston North

Have got a couple of bedroom wardrobes that need to be installed in a centrally located old villa. currently has a rail installed, so just need the door and a roof/shelf that you could chuck like a suitcase or boxs onto. Pretty much imagining it to be something similar in size / style to the attached pic. however it would be two single cupboards, not a double. That said if when you see the space and feel a better / cheaper option is available we are open to discussion. We would require the job to be started and completed between the sunday 22nd - tuesday 24th of January. Preferably on the 22nd or 23rd. We are out of town until the evening of the 21st. So would prefer to select a tradesman before we get back. Potential also for tile removal / installation on kitchen walls. Can discuss with winning bidder, as at this stage its still a little uncertain.

Not quite sure what to say about our service from John. Firstly he was quick to make contact, provide quotes etc. So great there. The wardrobes we asked him to make, once completed we are pretty happy with. We asked the job to be completed over a long weekend. Wich he promised to do, and was the reason we gave him the job. This did not come to pass. So that was annoying. Additionally he billed us just over 30% more than the quote/ estimate outlined. So we were quite shocked. However after negotiating and pointing out some extra work he did he did lower the price a to a more comfortable level, but still more than the quote. I think in some ways its the putting it right that counts and John was definitly quick to fix problems we had so thats a credit to his name.

Tradesperson reply
"Unfortunately this job was indeed not completely in the time-frame required I agree. But it was because you failed to turn up at a reasonable time to allow me access to the house, eg one of the days I showed up at 8am to commence work, but you didn't arrive until 11am to let me in the house. I cannot finish a job on time if I continously have issues with access to the house. As for the 30% extra cost, I do apologise that you were upset by that, but please let me remind you that you did ask for extra work to be done that wasn't in the quote, and there was open communication at all times about the work and costs being completed. But I do appreciate that you came to talk to me about this."
