Retro-fit dishwasher and build cabinet unit

Hi, I would like to fit a dishwasher into my existing kitchen (next to sink, unsure if it'll fit a 600mm wide dischwasher as the gap is currently only about 590mm - may need to go to 450mm dishwasher), and also build a cabinet unit in the gap above the fridge. No huge hurry (2-4 months is OK), though I would like confirmation of the size of dishwasher that would fit, so I can purchase this in advance.
