Curtain box/beam

When Vision Aluminium came to put in a new glass wall in my conservatory (as an insurance job) they cut off the roof support that runs between the posts on one half of the room. I now want to run a nice-looking 12x2 (can be rimu) across the whole room to act both as a curtain box and as extra support/brace for the roof. There are three concrete block posts which hold up the glass walls and to which the 12x2 will be afixed to. I want the curtain box/brace to have oval edges to make it look good and fit better under the slanted roof. This is something you'll see when you sit in the living room, so needs to be pleasing to the eye. The length will be about 5m.
