Project Overview: This scope of work outlines the installation process for Gib Aqualine sheets on two shower walls, with each wall requiring two sheets of Gib Aqualine. Additionally, 32mm galvanized angles will be installed vertically in the corners of the shower to provide structural support and stability. Project Location: 1 Lohia Street , Khandallah Project Timeline: Installed before the 2nd of October Scope of Work: 1. Site Preparation: - Ensure that the project site is clean and free from debris. - Verify that the shower area is dry and free from moisture. - Ensure that all necessary safety precautions are in place, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE). 2. Materials and Tools: - Gather all necessary materials, including Gib Aqualine sheets, 32mm galvanized angles, screws, fasteners, and any required adhesives. - Verify that all tools required for the installation, such as a saw, level, drill, screwdriver, measuring tape, and safety equipment, are readily available. 3. Measurement and Cutting: - Measure the dimensions of the shower walls accurately. - Cut the Gib Aqualine sheets to the required size using a saw. - Ensure that the cut edges are clean and free from any burrs. 4. Installation of Gib Aqualine Sheets: - Apply the appropriate adhesive to the back of the Gib Aqualine sheets, following the manufacturer's instructions. - Position the sheets on the shower walls and press them firmly into place. - Ensure that the sheets are level and plumb using a level and shims if necessary. - Secure the Gib Aqualine sheets to the wall studs using screws, spacing them as recommended by the manufacturer. - Counter-sink the screws slightly below the surface of the Gib Aqualine sheets to ensure a smooth finish. 5. Installation of 32mm Galvanized Angles: - Measure and cut the 32mm galvanized angles to fit the vertical corners of the shower. - Position the angles in the corners, ensuring they are plumb and level. - Secure the angles to the wall studs using appropriate screws or fasteners. - Check the angles for stability and make any necessary adjustments. 6. Finishing: - Fill any gaps, seams, or screw holes with joint compound or filler, as recommended by the manufacturer. - Allow the joint compound or filler to dry completely. - Sand the surfaces smooth to create a seamless finish. - Clean the installation area, removing any debris or dust. 7. Inspection and Quality Control: - Inspect the entire installation to ensure that all Gib Aqualine sheets and 32mm galvanized angles are securely in place. - Verify that all surfaces are level, plumb, and free from visible defects. 8. Cleanup: - Remove all tools, materials, and debris from the project site. - Dispose of waste materials in accordance with local regulations.
