We are looking to fix up the ceiling in our laundry, which is on the ground floor of our home in Karori. The ceiling is currently exposed apart from an underfloor blanket, as you can see from the photos, and we would either like to gib, plaster and paint it, or install some kind of wood paneling that matches the paneling on the walls. The dimensions of the room are approximately 2.5m wide x 3.2m long. The room is not accessible from the inside of the house, and is accessed from the exterior. We are also interested in receiving quotes on gibbing the ceiling (or installing boards) in part of our basement area (approx. 4m long by 2.5m wide) above the workbench area. Finally, as part of this project, we want to replace the lights under the house. You can see from the photos, the existing lights - particularly the fluorescent one that's above the workbench - are a bit old (and the transformers are noisy!) This is the product that we think we should replace them all with based on conversations with electricians, but are open to further discussion: --- and we are happy to purchase these units. We would like to complete this work in the next six months, likely in the spring.
