Exterior cladding + framing inspection & repair for weatherboard house
Job description
I have discovered some rot in various corners of the house where weatherboards join. I have removed one of the weatherboards to investigate and I am also concerned about the framing in one of the corners where it appears some borer and rot have started to spread. I would like to investigate and ensure that everything is weatherproof, safe, and kept maintained. I need a qualified builder to investigate, advise on and perform any required remediation. The house is a renovated Brooklyn 1960's cedar weatherboard (with some mono-clad on an extension). I purchased the house last year. I work from home so can be very flexible on timings. (This is my highest priority job , but I also am looking to establish a relationship with a quality builder longer term as there are other things I would like to investigate such as creaking/loose floor boards, replacement/refreshing of some windows, potential future renovation work here and there, as well as ongoing maintenance assistance.)
