Replacement of weatherboard flashings and aluminum window sealings

We are currently in the process of painting our house and require a builder to come and inspect the vertical flashings where some of our weatherboards meet (see pics) and if it is possible to have these replaced with new ones (approximately 3-4 of them). We are also seeking some assistance regarding the sealing around our aluminum windows (rubber like filler - currently) and what work will need to be done to seal these effectively.
