We have a single car attached garage (which has been converted from a carport) which we want to turn into a bedroom. The dimensions are approx 3m by 5m. The garage door needs to be removed and the front wall brought back in line with the front of the house (currently sticks out by 1m). It needs re-cladding on 2 sides (front and right) with weatherboard, and a window on each of these sides. The inside walls (x4) need insulating and gibbing, preparing for paint etc, the roof also needs insulation and gibbing. A toilet and toilet wall needs to be knocked out to make the entry to the bedroom. The current floor is concrete and is lower than the floor in the house, so a raised floor will need to be put in. Basically, it's a shell which needs to be made liveable. We may also consider having a built in wardrobe built but will depend on cost.
